Overview

Cloudflare has an impressive suite of services. Perhaps at the core of it services is its DNS service.

DNS stands for Domain Name System.The DNS is the phonebook of the internet in that it translates IP addresses to domain names. This makes it much easier for user to navigate the web because they don’t need to know the IP address of the website they want to visit– only the domain name.

Cloudflare DNS is an enterprise-grade authoritative DNS service with built-in DDoS mitigation and DNSSEC. Cloudflare operates the public DNS resolver 1.1.1.1. It’s almost twice as fast as Google DNS, and Cloudflare doesn’t sell customer data to advertisers.
