Our founder, Mensah Alkebu-Lan, grew up in a suburb outside of Richmond, VA with great parents and five wonderful brothers.
He was that young kid you saw vending at community events. Whether it was socks, scents, or a beef sausage with a soda.
Fast forward to his college years, he was helping his mother with her new brick-and-mortar shop. During that time, his father passed, putting a lot of pressure on his mother. So, when he and his younger brother graduated, they decided it would be best to create an online presence for her. Eventually, she could move out of her shop comfortably and do online sales only. Today, she handles very little of the manual day-to-day operations. Mostly signing documents. Witnessing his mother's empowerment and liberation convinced him this is what I wanted to do for other organizations
After receiving a solid education at Virginia State, I also spent some time in a Howard Doctoral program before being swept up by the movement Java 5 created.
Since then, I've been fortunate to see digital transformation in organizations big, small, young, and old.
Today, he and those who have taken this journey with him are continuing the conversation of what it takes to bring organizations closer to their aspirations.
He is grateful for his 15+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, ensuring seamless delivery of various IT projects, and successfully creating and executing software applications. He possesses strong expertise in leveraging Agile/Scrum methodologies, producing detailed technical documentation, and designing optimal software solutions.
